Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look together at this Diode Dynamics SS Three Pro LED fog pod light. Now this three-inch LED fog pod light is going to give you bright light with reduced glare for improved visibility and safety. This is gonna be a great option to consider if you're looking to upgrade your fog lights on your vehicle. And as you can see, I have this connected to my power source already. And what you're seeing here is the amber backlight.

And this is going to be great for a stylish touch to your vehicle, or for more visibility when you're not using your main beam. So you see what this looks like with my studio lights off, and I'm trying not to cross my wires here. And then let me zoom out here and you can get a better view and see what this is going to look like from a distance. And then I'm gonna turn this light off to an angle here just a little bit and show you that main beam. And as you can see, that is significantly brighter than our backlight.

So there's your backlight. And then there's your white main beam. And then I'm going to turn this to the wall behind me here just to show you that beam. So that fog pattern beam is gonna give you a high intensity light and extremely wide field of view. This light has a color temperature of 6,000 Kelvin cool white.

So that cool white color is gonna match most factory lights. And this has a raw lumen rating of 5,796 lumens. And then a measured lumen rating of 3,000 lumens. And then that peak beam intensity is 11,900 candela. So turning my studio lights back on, you can still see just how bright that light is with my studio lights on.

I'm gonna turn that off so I'm not continuing to blind you. And then go back in for a closeup view here. Now I mentioned that this has a peak beam intensity of 11,900 candela. In case you don't know, candela ratings measure the directional light output and it's how anything is rated where you want light shining in a specific direction. Lumen ratings are just for omni-directional output, like your regular light bulbs, or you want light shining in all directions. But for a more detailed description of those ratings, you can visit this product page on our website or Diode Dynamics provides additional information that you can find. So the power draw on that main beam is going to be 2.7 amps. And for the backlight, it's gonna be 0.03 amps. I'm gonna go ahead and disconnect this from my power source here. Now this light is designed with a newer technology known as custom TIR optics. That TIR stands for total internal reflection. Now, unlike the older technology that uses reflectors, or simple projector lenses, which aren't great at focusing all of the light where you want it, this custom design large TIR optic collects and focuses all of the light forward very efficiently. And from there, instead of having another external lens, certain lens patterns have been molded directly into the surface of this lens. This prevents that normal efficiency loss that you will see with an outside lens. You might know that when you shine light through any type of glass or plastic, you could lose up to 10% of that light just from it shining through a lens. So by making it as part of this lens, you're gonna pick up some efficiency there as well. Now, this is going to use that industry standard integrated Deutsche-style connector. The pigtail that I have here for this light is plugged in. I've got another one here that's not plugged in just to give you a clear view of that connector. And then this also has a breather patch that you can see right here on the back that's going to prevent any moisture buildup. And then these heat sinks on the back housing, it's going to do a great job of dissipating heat quickly to increase the longevity of this light. Now this light has been built with high-intensity LED chips. It does feature a durable powder-coated aluminum construction. And the heavy-duty construction is going to do a great job of withstanding extreme temperatures, corrosion, and vibration. Testing is completed to SAE standards, just like your factory lighting components on your vehicle. And just so you know, Diode Dynamics actually designed, engineered, and assembled this light right down the highway from us at their headquarters here in the greater St. Louis area. So just some overall measurements. Looking at the overall width from end to end, we're sitting at about three and a quarter inches wide. The same measurement, it's gonna be the same measurement for the height. Three and a quarter inches tall, end to end. The overall depth from the front of our light all the way to the end of our heat sinks is about two and three eighths inches deep. And this light does draw high current and it does require adequately sized wiring for safe operation. So if you're not using a Diode Dynamics wiring harness, you do want to use wire that's sized at 16 gauge or larger to ensure safe operation. Now we do also carry these lights with a bracket. You could get this light with a bracket. Or you could get a pair of these lights with brackets. You could get different intensities, different color options.
